Myrtle Ann Hill:  

My grandfather and grandmother raised me. We at 1049 S. Cox. It was between Walker and Southern. My grandfather died in 1957 during Easter. After Peabody, I went to Fairview Jr. High and then to Tech. Before I finished, my grandmother retired from the Juvenile Court and we moved to Anguila, MS. I went to school there for a year. Crazy me I quite because MS would not accept all the credits that I had. I got a job in Indianola, MS. That is where I met my husband. His name is Jessie W. Hill, but I have everyone calling him "Jay". On our second date he asked me where I got that. I told him that I didn't know. His family had always called him J.W. We have lived in Memphis, TN, Nashville, TN, Bolingreen, KY, Greenville, MS, Indianola, MS back to Memphis and now we live in Southaven, MS. We have two children.
